Vice President Message

Radhika Patel

Hi everyone! I’m Radhika Patel, your GPSG Vice President—I’m  leading this year’s Graduate Research Symposium (GRS). And trust me… it's going to be BIG. Join the GRS planning committee here. 2026 GRS Planning Committee Sign-up Form - Google Forms

Theme: The Power of Possibility: Reimagining Research for a Changing World

This year’s theme is all about bold thinking. We're calling on grad students across all disciplines to show how your research speaks to the wild, weird, and wonderful shifts happening all around us—climate change, AI, global migration, social movements, economic transformation—you name it. If your work dares to ask “What if?” or “Why not?”, we want to see it.

GRS will take place Monday, April 6, 2026—kicking off Graduate Student Appreciation Week (April 6–10) with the energy and brilliance it deserves.

We’re now accepting poster and paper submissions—deadline: December 15, 2025. Fair warning: competition will be fierce this year. We’re showcasing only the creme de la research creme. So if your work reimagines the future, challenges norms, or just totally slaps, bring it.

The submission portal opens soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime, get excited, start prepping, and mark those calendars. Are you ready to show the world what possibility looks like—Niner style?

LET'S GO NINERS!

 Radhika Patel,

Vice President, Graduate and Professional Student Government
